Suspicious and potentially dangerous driving has led to a Maryland man being charged with DUI, several traffic violations, and possession of drugs.
The Charles County Sheriff’s Department is charging the 50-year-old man with a drug possession charge, driving on a suspended license, and driving while impaired.
According to the police report, the driver suddenly pulled his car out in front of an officer and proceeded to swerve between two lanes. The officers stopped the driver and when he exited his vehicle, the officers noticed obvious signs of impairment.
Officers on the scene say the driver was trying to hide two cigarettes that had a strong chemical smell. The driver was also driving on a suspended license. Later analysis discovered the cigarettes were laced with PCP.
