4. DON’T SPEAK TO ANYONE ABOUT YOUR CASE
Do not talk to anyone but your lawyer about your case. This is especially true if you have been placed in jail awaiting trial. Phone calls home from jail are being recorded. Even if the conversation seems innocent, you would be surprised how words can be twisted. The same goes for anyone you might meet in jail. Other inmates will be questioned about anything you might say and could be asked to testify against you at trial.
5. DON’T WAIT TO CONTACT A LAWYER
