Attorney Alpert is a former prosecutor and the co-founder of Alpert Schreyer. His prior work experience has made him a highly effective defense attorney, as he can anticipate which strategy the prosecution is likely to employ against a client. He is able to utilize this information to mount a strong defense, as well as remain adaptable in the courtroom. Super Lawyers® has recognized his skill with listings in every edition since 2009.
Attorney Saleh has earned Rising Stars recognition every year since 2016. Before taking on a position at Alpert Schreyer, he worked as a Frederick County Assistant State’s Attorney. He prosecuted thousands of criminal cases as part of the district court team. Like Attorney Alpert, he has been able to use this experience to give his clients at Alpert Schreyer an advantage in their cases. He currently serves as our firm’s director of criminal litigation.

A listing in Super Lawyers® or Rising Stars is indicative of a high level of “peer recognition and professional achievement,” according to Thomson Reuters company Super Lawyers®.
Each potential listee, new or veteran, is required to outperform their peers during a rigorous independent review. Twelve categories are considered, including settlements and verdicts, education and employment background, representative clients, among others. Results from the first review must then hold up during a peer review, in which a Blue Ribbon Panel of premier attorneys reevaluates all candidates.
Super Lawyers® grants listings to only 5% of the nation’s attorneys. The candidate pool for Rising Stars is limited to early career attorneys, leaving room for just 2.5% of all U.S. attorneys.
